I'm a snarky, sarcastic cynic. And a hopeless romantic. The people I tend to miss most are the ones I never really knew. I prefer to cry alone. I love to make people laugh. I'm not who you think I am. Humor is my shield ... and my sword. I am a total flirt. I swear way too much. I don't drink. I do dance. I am unfailingly honest, even when it winds up making me look like an idiot, but I'm also not easily embarrassed. My feelings get hurt way more easily than you'd think. I'm complicated and simple all at once, and I can be 80 different people all in the same day.

I'd like to meet:

I like getting to know new people and getting friend requests, but if I don't know you, please e-mail me and tell me why you're sending me one. Chances are, if we don't share a significant history or I'm not a fan of your music, you're not getting an add. And if you were a friend and now aren't, it's nothing personal. I'm downsizing, so if we haven't spoken in more than a year or were never really friends anyway, let's wish each other the best and not clutter up each other's space.

I love music. I'm not writing it all down here.

Movies:

And the Band Played On. Good Will Hunting. The Princess Bride. Empire Records. Brokeback Mountain. Stalingrad. Scary movies that don't fit the definition of "torture porn." Children of Men. Anything Ryan Gosling does.

Television:

Most of it sucks, but I do like: Men in Trees. The Office. Brothers & Sisters. Bones. House. Cheesy movies on the Sci Fi Channel. Reruns of Seinfeld and The Simpsons. TLC and Discovery channels. Best Week Ever.

Books:

Love them. Would marry them if I could.

Heroes:

As Fyodor Dostoevsky put it, "He who masters the grey everyday is a hero." How can I argue with that? My heroes are the people who keep going, no matter what. Oh, and of course my very own:
