About Me
Gin Rummy:Id like some more please, a popular quote from the legendary author and playwright Charles Dickens classic literary work Oliver Twist, can also be taken as words embodying one of the Holy Bibles 7 deadly sinsGLUTONY. With a full belly, and an empty plate, Oliver, the main character in this well known work, requests more than he requires; the word gluttonys definition. Just as the word embodies the sin, Gin Rummy, one of the several troubled personalities that have invaded the mind and musical career of Rap Artist/Producer GoldSpade, embodies the word itself.Swapping a heaping plate of gruel for a glass or bottle of well any alcoholic beverage you can name, lazy toned, apathetic, good for nothing scrub of a man Gin Rummy, comes to the table with an unapologetic stance in favor of the usage of intoxicants of all forms. Though his drug of choice happens to be one of the deadliest, alcohol, he proudly encourages any of the narcotic dependencies of your choice for escapism from the bewildering realities of the poor, unfortunate, for lack of better word, SCRUB, like himself. Ofcourse, with alcohol in the mix, the musical outcome is quite interesting to say the least. Whats a drunken haze without a bit of humor?
With his easily understood simple wit, Rummy often dabbles into a bit of tongue and cheek subject matter that may offend more than a few moral right-wingers while in the process of attempting to sober up (good luck with that part Gin). Risky inebriated spurts like: I think I got turrets, and it makes me say shit/Like Fuck, Ass, Bitch, ignorance is bliss aint it?, from Gold Spades This Is Wrong, are clear indications that there may be some media troubles in store for Mr. GoldSpades bright musical future. So heads up Mr. OReilly, weve got another one for you. After taking the passenger side and back seat on GoldSpades upcoming full-length release, E Pluribus Unum (Out Of Many, One), Gin Rummy has taken over the MessHall Studios to commence working on his tentatively titled solo release, Wine, Women, And Song. Drenched in the scent of liquors of all kinds, Gin Rummy not only sets to bring a new perspective to the aforementioned Dickens quote, but also add his masterpiece to the great works. Call it: Oliver With-A-Twist-Of-Lime.
