My Interests

Architecture, animation, music videos, movies, books, sounds, sights, smells, sighs.

I'd like to meet:

Nice people, interested in life, love and the pursuit of whatever the hell interests them that very second. Of course, thats incredibly simplistic. Just when you think you have people pegged, they go and show you other sides to them. Well, I guess there's a lesson there. People rule. Just when you get jaded, you find that EVERYONE is multi-faceted, and multi-talented. If you say "oh I'm not"... it's crap...you are, and so is the person next to you.

Music:

too many and varied to mention. Even some really embarrassing stuff too. But I like it all. Different sounds for different moods.Lately (to go into names at long last) I'm listening to Sparklehorse, Various, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Deftones, Jet, Eskimo Joe, Fratellis, TV on the Radio, Luomo, CSS, Chad Van Gaalen, Veto (great record), the new Ray LaMontagne, The Chap, Ed Harcourt, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Scritti Politti, Sufjan Stevens, The Howling Bells, Peter Bjorn & john, Kasabian, Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton (metric lead singers solo thing), The Sleepy Jackson, Guillemots, M.Ward, The Dears, Shapeshifter, Stephen Malkmus (Pig Lib), Presets....and thats just the last couple of weeks. Music Rules!

Movies:

Wow, I did like The Departed but also...Amelie, Wings of Desire, Tron, Aliens, The Thing, Rushmore, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Back to The Future (1 & 2), Papillon, City of God, Bugsy Malone, Spinal Tap, Groundhog Day, Princess Bride, Bladerunner, Don't Look Now...It's hard to remember...but Movies rule!

Books:

Midnight's Children, Perfume, To Kill a Mockingbird, Hyperion, The Life if Pi, Love in the Time of Cholera, All of Stephen Baxter's novels, and so many more. Books rule!

Heroes:

Anyone that can run a Marathon, look after a small child day in and day out, or anyone that can be themselves without worrying about what everyone else is thinking about them. And though last, hardly least, all the nice people I know well. They are fun, they are wiser than me, they are in turns modest and wildly charismatic. I would be very sad without them. They save me daily. That's heroic.
