We are a foundation created to help children suffering from life threatening illnesses. All proceeds benefit the emotional state of children by bringing them programs to help uplift their spirits. These programs may be held at specific hospitals or centers that specialize in cures for these illnesses. Specifically, these programs will include supplying items such as computers, games, musical interests, educational visits. Our main focus is to help children to keep their thoughts on goals and future accomplishments.
To increase awareness of the foundations name, the Smiles For Kids Foundation has been hosting various fundraisers. SFKF will be raising money to give directly to children or their families in any way that will promote the advancement of a childs dream and/or goal. We run monthly concerts at local venues such as clubs, churches, firehouses, and more!
Our Rock the Park event, held at Pleasant Valley Park on October 1st, was our first of many annual events that we will be having. Rock the Park featured 16 bands, 2 stages, food, games, and many other activities for everyone! Look out for next years date soon!!
The second annual event will involve an evening of dining and dancing. Serving as a wintertime fundraiser, this event will request donations through direct mail to residents of surrounding towns. These residents will also have the option to purchase tickets to this evening where dinner, drinks and dancing will take place. This event will be a black tie affair and open to anyone who wishes to attend. The estimated profits for this event will be based on a goal set each year by members of the foundation. Our first years goal will reach $50,000. This event will be located at either the local country club or the local hotel ballroom. Funds for the event will come from smaller concert events and a portion of the donations received.
