About Me

Somewhere along the line, someone forgot to tell Ty that the modern singer-songwriter is supposed to have a soft tenor voice and sing about the flowers, trees, peace on earth and women/men breaking his heart while using witty word play reminiscent of Dylan. Ty's amplified, raw and soulful baritone voice and methodical guitar and banjo playing is soaked in a mixture of blues, gospel and field hollers, old country and Appalachian twang. The music isn't graceful, romantic or full of creative lyrical portraits. It is harsh, naked and enduring. This is Ty Kellogg."No one's voice can rattle a rib cage like his man. Fucking no one." - Bluebird

Random Scribbles #3

The Bottom Line

It has been a long time, hasn't it?I am writing now, as opposed to writing immediately after my graduation in May, because time, as usual, clears the mind and carves a new perspective to the world tha...

A Letter from the Human Resources Department

So here I am, at home during the last day in July, sweating microbeads of 80% humidity. I have since graduated from school and needless to say, I have caught up on my rest and regained clarity after f...
