Life is a game of Truth or Dare

About Me

..

I practice living in the present, embracing freedom and creating the world of my dreams, beginning with my words and thoughts. I love humanity and all living things, especially cats. I give as much as I can without compromising myself: some call me selfish. I will not tolerate the company of volatile people, pathological liars or control freaks. I am perfectly imperfect, like all humans. I like a full 8 hours of sleep. I appreciate the machine, but prefer flesh and earth. I like to play in the dirt. I don't scrub grout. Oh, and I'm NEVER bored or lonely. Any questions, please ask.

My Interests

Most anything that requires jumping--jumping from planes, jumping big fences horseback, jumping snowboarding, jumping out of trees, jumping from boats, jumping at opportunities... Skydiving, playing with friends, hiking in the woods, biking, dancing, mycology, wild foraging, gardening, primitive camping (primitive anything for that matter), learning, loving, relaxing, anything adventurous, reading all sorts of things, tesselations, painting, tennis, remembering my dreams, enlightenment/consciousness, yoga, being a better person, following my nose, guns & speed, competitive volleyball, equestrian eventing, scuba and free diving, fishing with my dad, sushi highs, natural highs, journaling, photography, tasty food, traveling, people watching, staying away from gossip, playing with Maya and watching her learn from copying me (Oh my!), sleeping, sunning, snowboarding in powder, enjoying the outdoors and trying to make the highest choice.

I'd like to meet:

Those I will meet going with the flow. I know I will meet all those with whom I have connected in a previous reality, the puzzle partners. I dig peeps with open minds, good vibes, kind hearts, adventurous spirits, real people who aren't afraid to tell the truth and have something interesting to contribute, those who pursue a good time, are happy inside and shining.About FRIEND REQUESTS: If I don't REALLY know you (and I may not remember if I met you once) and you think you have something to share, be REAL, drop me a line, be a friend, otherwise don't bother, as your request will be denied. I am not looking for numbers... If you don't read this, don't be upset if you've been denied...

Music:

Mood-dependent.

Movies:

American Beauty, Dark City, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Beautiful Mind, Heat, Dumbo, Pleasantville, The Saint, The Matrix, Pulp Fiction, Chicken Little, Pay it Forward, Girl Interrupted, Edward Scissorhands, Crash, Lord of the Rings, The Game. I have difficulty remembering all the titles of movies I've watched until I start watching them and realize I've already seen it. Same with books.

Television:

Don't watch it."When the Bubble Bursts:In the narcissistic state of consciousness that results from overidentification with ego, you inevitably live in a bubble of your own personal fears and desires. Your attention becomes narrowly focused upon avoiding those fears at all cost and doing whatever needs to be done to satisfy those all-consuming desires. Such narcissistic self-fixation leaves very little room in consciousness for anything outside the bubble of your own self-centered world. But when you awaken to a larger context and purpose for your own presence here on earth, the bubble bursts. Now your attention expands dramatically in the direct, experiential realization of nonduality and absolute interrelatedness. You recognize that who and what you are is an integral part of an infinite, evolving Kosmic process. And what is so extraordinary about this realization is that inherent in it is the spontaneous awakening of a profound sense of care—a powerful, all-consuming care for the whole. It's a naturally arising movement of compassion and concern that is ecstatically self-liberating, because it is through the awakening of this care that you die to the ego."--Andrew Cohen

Books:

The one I will write, The Alchemist, Dune, Road Less Traveled, Conversations with God, Eat*Pray*Love, Power of Now, Choice Theory, Brer Rabbit and Brer Fox, My Many Colored Days (and others by Dr. Seuss), Anais Nin, Parachutist, Skydiving, my journals, medical, reference, parenting, and gardening books.

Heroes:

Jesus, my Pa & Grandma (Saviours really), characters Lester Burnham & Ricky Fitz, Toucan Sam "Follow your Nose! It ALWAYS Knows!", and those peeps with the confidence, courage and individuality to be real. And all those who have given me sound skydiving advice--you may save my life one day!

Last Friday, Chris got up early, turned on the stove to make coffee, and then checked the surf report before heading to the beach. I was sound asleep, but not for long, when somewhere from dream land ...
