....This the part I guess where you find out about me....Hmmmmm. Born and bred North West Londoner aka North Weezy, which is more West London than North. In saying this I have travelled the world infact I have lapped it and know that it 'Ain't where you're from its where you're at!' I fell in love with Hip-Hop from the age of 9! Still in love although many times she has let me down or change direction or just disrepected a whole lot of people; but its those moments when she truly shines that keeps me coming back for more! I must say I am addicted to her. I started out as a beatboxer back in the day in a crew who's name is too funny to mention with my class mate Cherok. We then met up with Aybee a DJ around the Golden Era of Hip-hop (and if you don't know this time and date then I guess you don't know....so find out). We were readers and concious so at that time groups like De la Soul, KRS One,Gangstarr, X-Clan, Public Enemy, Poor Rightous Teachers, Brand Nubian, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Eric B Rakim, Mark 45 King, Queen Latifah, EPMD really influenced our mindset. We formed a group called 'Scientists of Sound' at that time just really spitting good vibes and positivity. We met up with a lyricist around the way called Aqil aka J-Blast and this completed the group of 4 MC's (Cypher 360 degrees: Aybee just couldn't help but spit). We toured with some major groups like EPMD, Redman, Das Efx, Wu Tang Clan, Leaders of the New School, Busta Rhymes, Wrecks 'n' Effect, Lords of the Undaground to name a few. In 1996 we released our critically acclaimed self produced album called '144 Or Bust The Replenishing', mixed by Skeef Anslem who produced 'We got the Jazz' at the time for ATCQ's 'Low End Theory'. We toured our album with DJ Stretch Armstrong and had our Mixtape mixed and scratched by DJ Evil Dee from The Beatminers in Brooklyn NYC! In 1996 we were nominated for a MOBO award for Best British Rap Group. Sadly....the group split from the label at the time and also split as a group due to finances and a lack of Urban Music support at the time. Hey but...NOW!! I am now back with Aqil forming one 1/2 of 'Burnt Brasse' currently recording an LP. Our beats are mainly from Anti Social Entertainment and Friends...Currently working on some next level shiz production wise with Anti Social Entertainment. I would like to shout my main influences: Talib Kweli, Slum Village, ATCQ, Busta Rhymes, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, The late great J-Dilla RIP, Little Brother,Wu Tang Klan, Curtis Mayfield, Barry White, Dr Dre, Earth Wind and Fire, The Commodores, James Brown, Justus League, Nicolay, Miles Davis, Nirvana, Coldplay, Timberland, The Neptunes, Quincey Jones, Common, Kanye West, Rakim,Showbiz and AG, The Boot Camp Click, EPMD, Dead Prez, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, DJ Spinna, Danger Mouse, Madlib, Roots Manuva, Saian Supa Crew, Terrafirma, Blade,Phi Life Chifer, Rodney P, Demon Boys, MC Mello, Thelonius Monk, Roy Ayers, 4Hero,Shy Fx,Goldie, Chic,The Beatminers,Diamond D, DITC, No ID, Outkast, Goodie Mob, Freestyle Fellowship, The Pharcyde, Masters at Work, Redman, Skinnyman, Pharoh Monch,DJ Shortee Blitz, DJ Stretch Armstrong, DJ Clue, DJ Premier, DJ Jazzy Jeff, The Scratch Perverts, DJ Babu, Dilated Peoples,Tha Alkaholiks, Gangstarr, Hieroglyphics,Hitek, Mos Def, KRS One, Biggie Smalls, DJ Scratch, Just Blaze, The Alkhemist, Unorthodox, Anti Social Entertainment to name a few off the top!
