Meritorious is not your ordinary every day artist that so many are used to. When you listen to me, you're listening to an artist who's lyrics & song concepts are based on everything from pain to partying & everything in between. Unlike so many rappers out there, I'm the same in person as I am in my music. I started rapping in 1998 & I've been making beats since 2000. After graduating High School in 2001, I went to trade school in Manhattan for audio engineering. Not only do I produce & write my own material, I also record, mix & master all of my stuff. Meritorious is a self-made solo artist / producer who sells & promotes his music by himself. "I'm not looking for a record deal, there's an audience out there for everybody.
