Dame Durrell is the 5th of 8 children of Pauline and William Mayfield. Born and raised in the city of CHESTER,PA, he attended THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE UNIVERSITY and pledge as a member of KAPPA ALPHA PSI FRATERNITY INC, the surge towards greatness began. While majoring in Communications, he also polished his music skills playing drums for the gospel choir and interning at the student radio station WKPS. After finishig school, he returned to the Tri-state to find his niche. For most producers, starting the process of becoming a producer usually starts in their teens, so it was considered a late start. A year after recieving his MPC2000xl and Triton, he produced his first mixtape record with the FLIPMODE'S LIEUTENANT RAMPAGE titled "Wyld Right Now", featured on his recent mixtape the Demographix. 1 album track on RAMPAGE'S 06 Album, the highly anticipated "HAVE YOU SEEN", has led to work with FREEWAY, CHARLIE BALTIMORE,D WOODS of DANITY KANE, Lil WAYNE,MALLEY MANSION, SANDMAN, LADY DAY, JAGUAR WRIGHT, SUGAR TONGUE SLIM,SPECIAL ED and a host of other new artist slated for releases soon, you can guarantee to see Dame the Great in ya area!
