About Me

I don't really have a whole lot to say in this space for now.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Hmmm...John Adams, Ben Franklin, maybe George Washington, and yes I know they're dead.People today? I don't know actually. The list would probably be dozens of names long.

Music:

I don't really listen to much music, since I'm rarely in the car, and I'm not usually one to have it on at home. But when I do it's usually country. My iPod is full of a pretty eclectice mix though - country, rock, pop, jazz, soundtracks, classical, movie scores, irish folk, comedy, even some rap.

Movies:

Favorite of all time is probably Mr. Holland's Opus. Also I have to say the original Star Wars Trilogy, the Indiana Jones Trilogy (though frankly I could take or leave "Temple of Doom"), and the Godfather trilogy, especially the second one. I'm not a horror fan in general, but by far the scariest movie of all time in my opinion is The Exorcist. I think because it plays to all our fears the come out of deeply held religious beliefs. That's just my opinion. Also, I am now on a total boycott of all Tom Cruise movies. FREE KATIE!

Television:

In no particular order: The West Wing, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, American Idol, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report. Lots of shows on HGTV, TLC, Food Network, and Comedy Central, but that's kind of a "let's see what's on because I'm a lazy-ass channel surfer".

Books:

Favorite of all time is "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien, about Vietnam. Anything else by him is excellent as well. Almost anything by John Jakes or Ken Follet. Most of W.E.B. Griffin's works, also Tom Clancy's stuff. Historical fiction in general is a particular fave, especially stuff by Jeff Shaara. Lately I've been particularly interested in biographies of the founding fathers.
