DK has a musical gift from God and a lyrical talent far beyond his time. His love for music began in the 6th grade when he was asked to join the band. When he played his first instrument, he knew making music was the thing for him to do. His high school football coach coined the nickname, “D.K.†and it has stuck with him to this day.DK is a music industry veteran bringing many years of experience and expertise. He has been affiliated with various music groups such as G.S.C., Exzile Records, GDA Productions, and is currently a powerfurl force at IceBoxx Entertainment. This quadruple threat is a rapper, writer, producer and engineer. His list of production credits includes numerous individuals including his two siblings, George “G The Genius†Kelly and Gabbie McGee. Other artists and groups include Dyme Deville, Kenecia, MC Biyah Prez,Mirakuluz, Mae-C-Doe Cummin, Solidus, D" Monique out of Jacksonville, FL, Triple G, Chad B., Justice a spoken word artist from Ghana, the late Aina Horne, and many others.. He has performed at the YMCA in Sandy Springs, Ga, Power Fest in Augusta, GA, Paine College in Augusta, GA, the Atrium in Stone Mountain, GA, and is on the road constantly making his presence known. He has also completed an album in 2005 titled, “The Other Side†and is presently working on new projects. The latest being the GUAP BOYZ Soundtrack. He offered both production and artistic skills on that project.
DK is inspired by smooth jazz and oldies. He says that, “It has so much more meaning and substance than music done todayâ€. The one rapper that had an impact on him is Tupac, “He was one of the best rappers because he could get on anybody’s level and talk about any subject in lyrical formâ€. The group that influence him most is, Outkast, because of their diverse style in music. He wants the world to know that music is all about self-expression and you can be different and make great music. DK likes to produce laid back, smooth and soulful music. You can hear sweet melodies and feel smooth drum patterns throughout his tracks. His lyrical delivery is sharp, smooth, stunning, and straight to the point. Through his music he wants to bring people hope, inspiration, motivation, love, and most important the message of Christ. Music has found a way in his heart and it is something that will be with him forever.
