About Me

We have come a long way since the first field recordings of Native American music done in 1890 on a wax cylinder recorder. There was also The John and Ruby Lomax 1939 Southern States Recording Trip , which captured a wide variety of music including the blues, old children's songs, ballads, cowboy songs, fiddle tunes, field hollers and many more.
Archivist Records is an audio snapshot, a document of sounds. Based out of Detroit, but not limited to, I plan on exploring and capturing moments in history. Perhaps you need a simple demo, but can't afford the high costs for studio time, or you are interested in documenting an upcoming performance for a possible live release. Many of the bands I have recorded have also used the recordings to critique their performance, as it gives them something that they can go back and listen to and see where they may need to make changes. Whatever the case or situation may be, please feel free to contact me.
