This Jack is a Queen
NASHVILLE – The beautiful Oklahoma singer and songwriter Amy Jack has been one of Nashville’s best-kept secrets for several years.
At last, the secret is out – Amy Jack is a star, and folks are taking notice.
Everything about Amy is unique. Her name really is Amy Jack, an All-American name for an All-American girl who grew up in Sulphur, Oklahoma, in a family whose Sooner roots are as deep and proud as the petroleum wells they have owned and operated for generations.
She has the classic All-American beauty with blue eyes, a lovely figure, and a winning smile, and she combines that look with a fierce work ethic and a dedication to her music.
Amy’s music is, like Amy herself, all over the map. Some of it is Top 40 Country, such as her terrific cover of Byron Hill’s “I’ve Got A Cowboy---- and the even hookier “Beer, Skoal, Remote Control,†which Ms. Jack co-wrote with Duane Hitchings and Dan Goodman.
Of all of her Country pieces, “Beer, Skoal, Remote Control†showcases Amy’s sense of humor the best, and the song is an ideal for Country Radio’s female-dominated demographics.
Another fascinating song is “Overdrawn Over Christmas,†an up-tempo novelty holiday tune that has hit written all over it.
She’s lived in Nashville for a few years now, so most of what Amy writes and sings is Country. But that’s hardly all she does. She recently wrote an R+B/hip-hop number which was recorded by some of Nashville’s most talented young black artists, and that song too is creating a big buzz.
Few artists on Music Row have as warm a personality or as big a heart as Amy Jack. She is, in many ways, a female version of one of her true Sooner State heroes – Will Rogers.
She is an ideal star for your Radio station’s live remotes and meet+greets, because your listeners will immediately fall in love with this beautiful and gifted Oklahoman – a lady who hails from the same neck of the woods as Reba, Garth, Vince, Blake Shelton, and many, many more of County Radio’s most beloved stars.
