About Me

BKnesto is a born and bred Brooklynite hence the name which stands for "Bklyn's own Nesto". The borough I was raised in had a great part in making me who I am today so I wear it like a badge of honor. Growing up in the eighties, a great range of music was played in my household by my parents. I would hear artists like The Isley Brothers, The Dramatics, Delfonics, Eddie Kendricks, Willie Hutch, Norman Conners, Lamont Dozier, Bob James, Chick Corea, Chuck Mangione, Al DiMeola, Roy Ayers, Rare Earth and a slew of other artists.
While "ear hustling" or listening to my parents music when I should've been asleep; another major influence came into my life. This influence would later be termed HipHop. Everything about HipHop spoke to me..the music, the style of dress, the art(which I saw daily in my staircases and on the subway) and the rebellious attitude toward the status quo. Directly my older cousin Kerry "Krucial" Brothers had a big impact on me as an MC with his rhyme skills and later with his production as well. (Go check him at www.krucialkeys.com).
With all these ingredients in my pot I decided to start "cooking up" beats in my free time as a hobby. I am a beatmaker by craft hoping to evolve into a producer.
