The right thing to do and the hardest thing to do are usually the same...

About Me

I'm a brain surgeon and weekend fighter pilot who donates all his money to orphans. Right...? I'm a 3d artist/computer animator with a game dev background. I have also taught college classes in digital and traditional art. I grew up in California, was educated on the East Boast (lol) and spent some time in Austin on my way back home. I'm very open minded and positive, almost to a fault. My lighthearted attitude towards life and playful sense of humor has a little bit of sarsacm mixed in, so if you got offended chances are I didn't mean it. I like creating something out of nothing, or making people laugh (which comes easily for me, and not just because I take stupid pictures in tighty whities and post them on myspace) Being out and being around people is a must - I'm really too social to be a great brooding artist, but I find other ways to make myself suffer. I take pride in being a very loyal friend. I have good manners, a modicum of class, a dizzying array of dirty words, impeccable style... (oh stop it you're embarassing me! Tell me again!) I'd like to meet intelligent outgoing and interesting people, but I'll settle for fun, or cute, but you must play well with others!

My Interests

Animation, great art, motivating music, pissing on the guy's shoes in the stall next to you, goin' clubbin', football, leaving the city/state/country for a new experience, shopping 4 threads, writing, on your face when you're asleep, being active and in the sun/water, shootin' at stuff, jet skiing, I want to start boxing for fun...

I'd like to meet:

Good people of substance, intelligence and heart. Pretty people are always appreciated, but good people are irreplaceable, and much harder to come by. Unfortunately, I keep moving and leaving all my best friends behind. =( I've still got them, but the rockstars are scattered. So that is why I've resorted to making friends online, even though the mean fat kid says internet friends don't count. My infatuation with bright, classy, beautiful, dopealicious angels is ever present, so if that's you, I'd like to meet YOU. Anyone that can play mental tennis, I'm looking for a doubles partner. I'm rebuilding a circle of partners in crime: people to party and travel with, lend money to, someone to chill on the couch and watch a movie with... hey, watch the hands! I would like to meet a girl JUST AS SMART AS THIS ONE!

Music:

I'm usually bumpin' house and rap... WuTang, Gangstarr, Roots, Mos Def, Deep Dish, Satoshi Tomiee, Osamu M, Mark Farina, James Lavelle, Lee Burridge... old Motown, Curtis Mayfield, Al Green, Nina Simone, etc. I've got music all across the board, but I truly HEAR:

Movies:

Anything with a real soul or voice to the film: from House of Flying Daggers to Finding Nemo. I love unpredictable movies, good FX/ art direction/ costumes/ cinematography/ humor... and pretty much anything with whats-her-name in it. At random: House of Flying Daggers, 5th Element, Dead Presidents, Killing Zoe, Amelie, Suicide Kings, U-Turn, The Hole, Just Friends, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Tommy Boy still kills me. I'm a fly ..ary junky too: RIZE, Bastards of the Party.

Television:

History & Discovery Channel, ESPN, CNN, Bravo, Lucky Louie on HBO watch it, great writing. ENTOURAGE is great, its about time someone made a totally indulgent male fantasy series. Intriguing and hilarious is always good. Reality TV is fucking STUPID. I love how seriously that guy on inside the actor's studio takes himself, Ali G set him right. I like to watch animals screw, kill and eat each other. (Just kidding) Why are all the girls on the spanish channel so fly? Is Deal or No Deal on the spanish channel?

Books:

Read and own plenty of 'em. Comics to Classics... Life of Pi was the most recent book I read, and now I want to be shipwrecked. Read some Chuck Palahniuk (sp?) it's entertaining, but a little over the top ... prowling sex addicts anonymous meetings is a brand of genius that rivals only a stakeout of the middle school.

Heroes:

Spiderman, X-Men, Batman (Dark Knight). Anyone who overcomes their circumstances and achieves whether famous, ficticious, or a friend. Oh, and bigots are my heroes too. They make the world a better place. Really. (Are you picking up on my sarcasm? Because I'm laying it on pretty thick...)

This can't be it.

I see it inside animals, people, places, art, music, stories ... anyone who feels like an artist must see it in themselves. I don't see it where I am. I want to give up this expected charade and pea...

The Last Dragon

If you haven't seen this movie yet, you are missing out on one of the coolest 80's movies in the world. It totally sucks, the music is awful, the acting is second rate, its full of cheese and bad joke...
