About Me

Espionage at The Cooler is no more.
On the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month Pet Sounds is now at the Cooler.
Pet Sounds - Its a night of music for Cool Cats and Dirty Dogs.
The night features the best emerging national bands playing alongside the cream of local acts, followed by the resident DJ's spinning Soul, Funk, New Wave, Indie and More.
Whatever songs you hear the DJ's spinning you can rest assured in knowing that its going to be some of the best records ever made.
We mix classic British tunes (take a bow The Rolling Stones, The Who, Small Faces, Kinks) with American Motown/Stax/Atlantic (say hello Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Frankin, Otis Redding)
Coupled with more recent sounds from these fair Isles (greetings from The Clash, Stone Roses, The Smiths, Blur) alongside their American contemporaries (a warm welcome from Blondie, The Pixies, The White Stripes, The Strokes)
Resident Rotating DJ's:-
Private Britton (Espionage) Phil (Bang!) Dean (Go-Go Children) Riot Paula (Decepticon)
Espionage returns to The Croft on the first Friday of every month starting in October....more details to follow.
Also manage the band The Hinkley Veltones. Check 'em out they will be massive thus earning me a fortune. I can then buy a yacht and retire to the Bahamas!
I am the king of useless facts, figures and trivia!
I've played guitar in various bands over the years, in reverse order - The Bonnie Situation, Crybaby, Career, Mad Johnny Two Bikes and Stone Delta.
None of these bands (whilst obviously being ace) really got very far but highlights include recording at Paul Wellers private studio and also at the Sawmills in Cornwall (Razorlight, Supergrass, Oasis and many others have been there before).
Very minor claims to fame include appearing on a tv show called "Pop Upstairs Downstairs", it was on UK Play (now BBC3) and was a music based rip off of University Challenge. The Hosts were Mark Radcliffe and Lard. We were against a team of Scousers who worked at a Virgin Megastore, we were holding our own until the quickfire round at the end when they asked a load of modern chart rubbish!
Also appeared on stage at the Hippodrome (due to subliminal messages!) with Derren Brown and yes he had me over completely and it still annoys me that I can't work out how he did it. Also appeared there very briefly with Little Britain, Matt Lucas as Marjorie Dawes dissed the shirt I was wearing, said it was very 1980's. How dare he, I thought it was much more 1970's!
P.S. I hate Jamiroquai with a passion! I pity the fool who requested some at Espionage one night, I don't think they particularly appreciated the answer I gave them!
P.P.S. Please don't ask me for Mr Brightside by The Killers either!!!
