The Dancer / Model known as "COOKiE Jah©" aka 'TiQUANi LEON' first started dancing at the age of 4yrs old when he attended a dancing school known locally as the Laura Faulkner School of Dance & Drama in Romford, Essex, England UK. During his time as a pupil he studied and learnt the technical dance forms Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz in which he achieved many certificates and performed many shows at the Queens Theatre in Hornchurch, Essex, England UK. From the age of 16yrs and at the end of his schooling days he attended Havering College of Further and Higher Eduacation in Gidea Park, Essex, England UK where he attained a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts Dance over a three year course. He then went onto also achieve a BA Foundation Degree in Performing Arts Dance and Vocals attained at W.A.C Performing Arts and Media College, Belsize Park, London, England UK.Over the years this talented natural born versitle dancer has studied and learnt all types of dance forms and techniques such as Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Contemporary Dance, African Dance, Afro-Cuban, Salsa, Calypso, Hip Hop, Street & Break Dance, Kathak, Lindy Hop and Capoirea to name just a few. He has also danced with many leading dance companies such as the Urdang Academy, London Childrens Ballet, Sylvia Young, London Studio Centre, Ballet Black, LDDT and Creative Outlet in NYC. He has performed on leading West End Theares such as the Lycem Theatre, the London Pallidium, Sadlers Wells Theatre, the Royal Opera House and the Wimbledon Theatre in South West London.Now 25yrs in advance his dancing has taken on a whole new meaning in the sense that dance is used as a freedom of expression and a freedom of movement and a way out of the stresses and strife that life brings. Bringing with him a sense of comic performance aswell as artistic entertainment for people to love and enjoy, he is just ah creative solo Dancer / Entertainer / Performer / Choreographer / Model who enjoys, cherishes and loves life and dances always with a smile upon his face. Through his love for Reggae music and the Dancehall, his cultural heritage aswell as personal emotional battles overcome in his life he came across the name "COOKiE Jah©" to represent who and what he as a dancer stands for.COOKiE Jah© love for Reggae Music and the Dancehall came at an early age when his mother, aunty and uncle took him to Reggae Sunsplash when it was held at Crystal Palace Football Ground, Selhurt Park, London UK in the spring of 1984. He was only 8months old at the time but he was immediately taken by the percussive and natural but energetic vibes of the music genre in which he has grown to love. As he got older and the music became more uptempo from Reggae to Dancehall he became a big fan of the at the time teen sensation but now enthusiastic, energetic, dynamic but often controversial international deejay / artist known worldwide as Beenie Man. With Dancehall music being as popular as it is today came the dances and one dancer who COOKiE Jah© who is increasingly likened to is the late great legendary dancer known as Bogle aka Mista Wacky. COOKiE Jah© grew up watching the likes of James Brown, Michael Jackson & Usher but in 'Bogle' COOKiE Jah© found inspiration due to the fact that Bogle very much like COOKiE Jah© was very creative, unique but so laid back in terms of dancing and made the most difficult of movement seem so easy but yet his style and technique was so clear to see and in a sense is one of the reasons why COOKiE Jah© is now persuing a dance career in Dancehall, which in dance art forms is very new to the scene.COOKiE Jah© first exposure to the rawness of the dancehall came when he attended a dance at the Stratford Rex Complex, Stratford, London England UK 07, billed as the Mobay Invasion headlined by Jamaican dancer Marvin. Wunce inside the venue he was approached by a dancer known locally as Toothless who invited him to come down and attend a weekly dance held at the Stratford Rex called Freaky Fridays. Just so happens that on one of these fridays COOKiE Jah© took himself along to the dance and as he can recall seeing two dancers known as Annie Ice and Kello Kello former members of the now abondoned dance group Gully Side taking it to the dancefloor and showcasing their talent into the videolight. Through there vibes and energetic performance COOKiE Jah© felt the need to join in with them and proceeded to do so, that is when he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around to see a tall boy standing over him and smiling. The boy then introduced himself as Ashley Hype and told him that he recognized COOKiE Jah© from myspace. He then took the then raw COOKiE Jah© under his wing and introduced him to the other UK dancers and also to a DJ who went by the name of DJ Face and a next DJ called Moonlight.From then on COOKiE Jah© was a regular attendee of this friday night dance chilling with the likes of Toothless, Ashley Hype, Cobra and Government Dancers Platinum and Creation Bimma but it wasnt until COOKiE Jah© along with Toothless and the UK-Nuh Mannaz Lady Quartet went to a Wednesday night dance called Girls Rush, again held at the Stratford Rex Complex, when he noticeable became apparent and DJ Ark Angel hailed up his name. Then onwards where ever he went and danced his name started ringing in peoples ears from Freaky Fridays (Dutty Fridayz UK) to Uptown Splurt @ Cameos, Oxford Circus, London UK and now Bembe UK @ Le Fez, New Cross, London UK his popularity grew and with that his dancing has become even more improved. He is now one of the leading dance figures to come out of London UK and is not just known on the local scene or national scene but through his myspace and youtube accounts and word of mouth his name is now on peoples lips on an international basis. But yet he still remains grounded and still very much sees himself as being new to the scene and so is still pushing always trying to step up onto the next level which future-wize we shall just have to wait and see. He has participated as part of the opening act at the AiDONiA, ASSASSiN & MUNGA Concert 07 alongside fellow dancers ASHLEY HYPE, TOOTHLESS and the UK-NUH MANNAZ LADY QUARTET. He has danced at the WAHGWAN / MACKA DiAMOND & BLACK-ER Concert 07 alongside dancers BLAX, JUKA, CRAZE, CARLENE BLiNGERS, TOOTHLESS & Jamaican Dancehall Queens LATEESHA & DAHLiA, and also he danced alongside other UK DANCERS as part of the opening act at the MOVADO Concert 07. He has danced with French Dancehall Queen AMAZONE, German Dancehall Queen JUMBiE & European Dancehall Queen PURPLE CHAMPAGNE at Richie Indian's Nookie Tonight 08 and also alongside Jamaican Dancers CHi CHiNG CHiNG, SAMPLE 6 & MAD MiCHELLE at the More Hype 2000 & Great Dance held at the Stratford Rex 08. COOKiE Jah© has appeared as a guest on Entertainment Fridays, Passion TV in which he was interviewed by leading UK Reggae artist and host of the show Savana. COOKiE Jah© also appeared as a guest on the George Lamb BBC Radio 6 show demontrating the latest dancehall dances alongside Young Lion of BBC Radio 1XTRA and featured alongside other UK Dancers on the BEENiE MAN, TONY MATTERHORN & DJ FACE Concert / Birthday Bash @ the Stratford Rex Complex 08. COOKiE Jah© has danced alongside jamaican dancers SAMPLE 6, MAD MiCHELLE, CHiCKEN & BEER (RAVERS CLAVERS), DYEMA & CRAZY HYPE (M.O.B) supporting them as they toured different clubs in London. In February 09 COOKiE Jah flew out to italy alongside fellow UK Dancer Urkel to dance at italian Dancehall Queen Suna's birthday bash and this gave COOKiE Jah© the chance to showcase his talent for the first time in Europe and was a valuable experience to him.
