About Me
"Karma... where pop music hasn’t gone before"As fairy tales go, it's hard to top this. Small town Las Vegas girl from Santiago, Chile sings in church, wins numerous competitions, a favorite at music conferences - goes on to meet mogul Ron Fair (A&M) and is hired as a background singer for some of today’s hottest pop acts like Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, and Aaron Carter. She tours the world, performs on TV and meets some industry record execs, influential producers (i.e.-Randy Jackson), and artists in pop/R&B/hip hop. Sounds too good to be true? It isn't. It's the life of Tantrum artist Karma, a pop/R&B dynamo and the newest artist on their unique roster. Karma quotes: "I thank God for everything that has happened to me this far in my journey and this is only the beginning for me," speaking of her meteoric rise from obscurity to the cusp of fame. "I feel so blessed because there's so many people that want to be doing what I'm doing, and I feel so lucky to be able to actually do it"
Karma toured with Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Aaron Carter and appeared on the MTV Awards, Latin Grammy Awards and the Grammy’s. Also, in 2003-2004 Karma was accepted into the USO where she performed and spent her holidays performing in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries for our soldiers and our men and women overseas.
Brimming with grooves, and laced with a sexy, sassy stance, Karma is an explosion of passionate singing, hot beats and hip shaking tracks that will make you want to push the repeat button over and over again. She shines with an honest and beautiful vibrancy that's hard to resist.
Karma is direct. "The word that continues to stay in my head is humble, I know this record is going to be a huge accomplishment for me but at the same time I have family and great friends in my life that keep me in check. I've been blessed and I know this all comes from God, as long as I keep my head right I can't go wrong."Asked what she wants fans to hear when they listen to her? She is up front, "I want people to be able to relate to me, to get a sense of who I am and what I've been through. I hope that comes across in my personality and my music. To me, that's what is so brilliant about music. Moving someone and inspiring someone that may have gone through the same things I have been through. Music and singing bring many different emotions to a listener. I want my music to bring out every range of emotion and touch each listener in a different way. I want them to love what I'm giving musically from my heart and soul."
