My GOD and romancing Him the way He romances me (thanks for the words, JOY!):
"[This] is how He feels towards you. When you look His way, it captures His heart. When He hugs you, He does it tight and doesn't want to let go. When you are away, He yearns for you. When you are in His presence, He has those urges to scream out loud with happiness but has to hold it in, because when He talks, the earth shakes..... just think what happens when He yells for joy. That is too deep to even fathom.
God, I pray for Abi and myself right now. These feelings that we get, we want to feel them towards You. We want to make You our first love. We want to blush each time we hear You say, "I love you". We want to jump up and down with excitement each time You bless us with Your presence. God, teach us more about Your love and how You love so we can in turn share how great You are with others. Thank you so very much for all that You have done for us and for being.... You! In Jesus name we pray, AMEN!!!"
*sigh* That's my GOD ^_^

JESUS CHRIST: for teaching me what love really is; for showing me what it means; for leaving Heaven to endure the miseries of earth for the likes of me; for living a perfect life to fulfill what I failed in; for dying for the forgiveness of my enumerable sins; for rising up to give me eternal life; for being the all-around, complete friend/brother that the whole world is looking for; for changing me, making me into the person I should be (and the person I want to be); for being the one I can cry to; for accepting me in my wretched state; for forgiving me when I constantly fail Him; for being my EVERYTHING, even when/though I can't return the favor; for showing me how to express His love to those who need it most.
LOLA FLORING: for being a strong woman, especially coming from a time when women were considered insignificant; for enduring a painful marriage for the sake of her family's survival; for teaching me to be a studious note taker through watching her example in church; for defying the unrealistic, status quo cliches of what a grandmother is supposed to be; for her humility, despite her numerous accomplishments (and for passing this quality onto my dad).
DAD: for being a real man, knowing the balance between responsibility and love; for loving my mom faithfully; for being a godly teacher and example to his children; for having the character/personality qualities that makes him the favorite uncle/much sought after Ninong (god-father); for teaching me to read (music) notes; for being my partner/inspiration/encouragement in music (no one will ever take his place); for expressing his fanatical support and pride in my endeavours; for sensing my insecurities and reassuring me of my beauty, intelligence, talents and abilities; for his passion in learning, especially in theology, sharing that with his family; for his hugs during times I needed them most but wouldn't say so; for being the example I look for in a husband.
MOM: for meaning what she says and saying what she means; for epitomizing that women can be strong and brave and independent; for her example of a strong prayer and devotional life; for showing her love and devotion to my dad; for being the unrelenting disciplinarian and strict manager of the home; for teaching her children to read and to become responsible Christians and citizens of the world; for teaching me to value simplicity, bargain shopping and seeing through the frivolity of worldly pleasures; for being dependable, stepping up to the role even before the need is expressed; for, even though she isn't as expressive, showing her love through action, taking care of her family, doing whatever it takes for our survival.
KUYA: for letting God transform his life and making that evident in his life; for stepping up and taking on the man's role when Dad couldn't be around; for being a responsible older brother to his sometimes stubborn siblings; for being a loving husband to Ginni and doting father to David Robert; for not being afraid to show his sensitivity;for his generosity, even when he is in need; for being a good listener (even though he has the tendency to turn the subject to himself, hehehe); for all his advice, even when unsolicited (because he turns out to be right most, if not all, of the time); for transcending the role of a big brother into being a best friend.
JOSH: for being a risk-taker; for appreciating each factoid for its own merit; for those late-night/mid-day talks that can go on for hours; for his passion in whatever he chooses to undertake; for being protective of his Ate, even though he's the younger one; for his spontaneity, always keeping us on our toes; for his unrelenting humor and his gift of entertainment; for the hope that he can conquer the situations that he is going through, with the help of Jesus Christ.
