Jerry "The Musicman"

Jerry L Andrews Jr was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. His love for music started a very young age, playing drums, various musical instrument, and also singing. At the ripe ages of 8 to 12 years old, Jerry had the honor to sing with the ATLANTA BOYS CHOIR, with whom he sang for Governor's of Georgia, President's of the Unitied States, actress Sophia Loren, and all over Europe. He is graduate of McNair Senior High School in Atlanta (Dekalb County) where he had the honor to serve as Drum Major for the first three years of it's existance. As a lover of music and education, Jerry decided that he would futher his studies by attending Florida A&M University, where he played in both Marching and Symphonic Bands. After graduating from Florida A&M University in Fall 1995, Jerry was employed with the Judical System, the Atlanta Municipal Court, where he served as Bailiff and later Court Clerk. After working in that sector for more than 4 years, he transferred employment to the Atlanta Fire Department, where he is currently employed as a Lieutenant. Due to having a flexible schedule, Jerry spends a lot of his time producing music at his studio, promoting, playing with various bands, including his church (Beulah Missionary Baptist Church) as a drummer or percussionist, where he is nicknamed "Hands". Jerry appeared in the movies "DRUMLINE" as member and in "ATL" as a Security Guard at the Skating Rink. He is worked with the "Halftime Live Production" along with Dallas Austin. Jerry "The Musicman" has a long history of family in music. His 1st Cousin is Sean "The Pen" Garrett, the most sought after writer/producer in the music industry (some works: "Yeah", "Goodies", "Lose My Breath", "Soldier", "Run It", "Check Up On It","Grillz", "Wall to Wall", and so on), Uncle Titus Turner who has written for Elvis, Buddy Holly, and many others, and also several composers as well.Currently, Jerry "The Musicman" is Vice President/A&R for G.E.Entertainment (www.geentertainment.com) and preparing work for his own album project.Look out for Jerry "The Musicman" in the new movie "MAKE IT RAIN" along with Snoop, Daz, Alphmega, Candie(Excape), Shawty-Shawty, Decatur Black, Kujo Goodie, and the list goes on.
