Truly Blessed

"God continues to throw challenges my way and they just continue to make me stronger and wiser."Me? I am currently in the Army and stationed in Hawaii. I just had my first baby, Quintin Olonza Armstrong Jr. and I must say that they are one of god's realest, purest and truest blessings. It's been a motivating and exciting event (even the diaper changes). Quintin Jr. is my heart and I plan on giving him all the love and happiness I possibly can. Mommy loves you Daddy. I am also engaged to the love of my life so I am truly blessed in so many ways.I hate fake and weak people. I think that in order to consider yourself a true man or women you must be honest with people as much as you possibly can. Sometimes you have to get the nerve to speak the truth, but making the attempt to do so is what counts. Most people spend a considerable amount of time hiding who they really are - and all it does is confuses and hurts people.I've lost a lot of close people to me recently (BIP - Clarence aka Youngfool 1, Uncle Ervin, My Great Grandmother - Maryann, my step dad - Glenn Johnson, Mark, Kenya, Pimp C, and the list continues) so I try to stay sucka free and happy all the time. I am a kind hearted person that gets used sometimes so I've gotten rid of a lot of close people that I love, but didn't have my best interest in mind. I am a definite momma's girl and am blessed to have such a wonderful person in my life.The few people I am really close to are in my photo album and I continually thank god for them - they keep me real - even when I don't want to be.SOMETHING GOOD TO READ:...LET'S GET ONE THING STRAIGHTENED OUT ABOUT ME...When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'." I'm whispering "I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven." When I say... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak And need His strength to carry on. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed And need God to clean my mess. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'M NOT CLAIMING TO BE PERFECT, MY FLAWS ARE FAR TOO VISIBLE but, God believes I am worth it. When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches So I call upon His name. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'M NOT HOLIER THAN THOU, I'M JUST A SIMPLE SINNER who received God's good grace, somehow!-Maya AngelouGod Bless!-- joy..
