I am here for Friends

About Me

I am 40, a mom of 2, and married for 15 years. I spent 10 years in the Navy. (egads) I am now a housemouse and enjoying it. We live in Maryland, have since 2000. Amazing. The land here is beautiful, but the people have that "Nor-Easter" attitude, which just screws it all up for everybody. As for about me... I am a Navy brat. Born on navy hospital sheets, as were both of my children. I grew up with a flair for the sailor talk, so it seemed fitting that I would join as well. I spent 4 years on a ship. I worked on Nuclear weapons, not that they exist or anything. Then, when they went away, not that they were ever here, I had to find a new job. I went into the medical field. Loved it. Hate the folks I worked for, Math geeks, Icky! But, I enjoyed the life I had. I got out for numerous reasons, and continued my family. My son was born here. He has had a host of issues, the biggest being a heart transplant. He is now thriving and becoming the little boy I always knew he would be. He still has issues that keep me close to home, but, one day I will get to go to work again. My Girl is strong, smart and georgeous! Even with me as her mom, she turned out perfect! She is awesome. She is a straight A honor roll girl! Awesome blossum! I think she will do well in life. She is one of those people, that when they try something, it just works. Lucky! I am blessed. I have been married for 15 years, .. to the same guy. We are doing better than ever. I think we have figured out a lot about ourselves and in doing so, have figured out how to be human to each other and be good stable role models for the kids. That is one thing I am very proud of. I was always the one who was never going to marry and have kids. Now look at me! Martha stewart wanna be! Ohh well. It could be a lot worse. I do hope to go back to school and work one day. I would like to get into the organ donation business. My son would not be here if not for the gift we received. I urge all to donate! It is the last, greatest thing you can do! You can save 7 lives, and help 13 more! Not bad numbers if you ask me. Anyway. Well, enough about me! Tell me about you! Myspace For Girls Only - MyGirlySpace.com

My Interests

I like a little of everything. Music is always a favorite. I love all kinds. Nature. Watching my children enjoy life all around them.I have this passion for extreamly old grave yards. It all started in Ca, on the road to Lake Isabella. There is this little road side GY and it is 17-1800's. Two entire families from infants to elders are there. But the intriging thing, was that in this area, 15 feet from a busy hw, you can't hear a thing that drives by. I used to just drive up there and spend hrs hanging out. There were trees and grass green as could be. When we moved to CT, there are loads of old, OLD GY to go to, now my daughter is into it as well. Living on an Army post helps, as there are GY all over the place. Behind our house was one. They are all maintained as history relics, so they are lovely to attend. Onward! A good flick! The beach at daybreak. Mountains in the morning, when the mist is lifting. Reading. Learning. Cooking. Scrapbooking, but who has time? Painting and sketching with charcols. knitting. Yep. knitting.

I'd like to meet:

Wow. I would like to meet all the great "firsts". First president, freed slave, women's rights advocates. Non censored authors, photographer, on and on.Just to know what it would be like to be that person. I too look fwd to the day when we meet our Cloë Heart Family. Thane's heart came from the prettiest baby girl! She was killed by a Drunk Driver. She was healthy and strong, and thankfully, she has pulled our boy through many a tight spot. They are anice bunch of folks. I just want to say thank you for doing what no one else could. And one day, of course, my ancestors.

My biggest hero is my son. He has been through so much, and yet he manages a smile and mischief daily. I am in awe of him. I should be so lucky to be so strong. 2nd, my daughter, for surviving being my first child and being such a good person inside. I don't know how or why, I am just glad!
