I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Thirty-one, single and no kids! I'm just trying to live a good life and enjoy the fruits of hard work and smart choices. Drama-free and looking to keep it that way...I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

My Interests

Music, art, politics, business, real estate and enjoying my time with my friends and family.

I'd like to meet:

No one really- damn, did I say that? LOL Really, I'd like to meet anyone who's mature enough to realize that a decent vibe doesn't automatically mean a hookup and who can offer some light and intelligent conversation.

Music:

On the regular it would be Oldschool Hip Hop, Freestyle, Merengue, Bachata, Salsa, R&B and some reggaeton (ok, Don Omar really) but really anything with decent lyrics and a beat that flows does it for me.

Movies:

Comedies, independent films and dramas- anything good but please no chick flicks! Practically anything with Ben Stiller and/or Vince Vaughn (Old School, Wedding Crashers, Dodgeball, Zoolander, and Along Came Polly), Syriana, Good Night, and Good Luck (yes, I became a Clooney fan), Munich, Crash, Hustle & Flow, The Constant Gardener, Sideways, Shawshank Redemption, The Joy Luck Club and Hotel Rwanda.

Television:

Cable actually... my hours are too random to get into any network shows on a regular basis. So, I catch The L Word, Sopranos and any reruns of Sex and the City and Queer as Folk whenever I can...

Books:

Down These Mean Streets, In the Time of Butterflies, Short Eyes, White Teeth, Prisoners of Colonialism and They Came Before Columbus.

Heroes:

Those who have made a difference in our history: Diego Rivera - Frida Kahlo - Pedro Albizu Campos - Che Guevera - Fidel Castro- Maribal Sisters - Evo Morales - Hugo Chavez... I mean who else on Bush's hitlist sells discounted heating fuel to the poor in America as part of a social justice program?
