Freebone's first release, the 'Tales about Toads' EP is still available through iTunes and CDbaby!
A collection of musicians from a variety of backgrounds, some contributing throughout the years and others who lay the foundation. A new name with a long line of experience, including backgrounds in; classical, groove, garage, Toronto indie, jam. Vision is based around original works and poetic phrasing written by Will Sarty. These songs resonate subjects of lost childhood, small town Canada, wise men on porches, "with a million stars like a million smiles...blackness fills the in-between spaces". All members bring their musical background, layering individual Musicianship through instrumentation, introducing new ideas, enhancing sound in each structured arrangement. The band's new release 'Birds In My Belly' was recorded between September 2006 and March 2007, by Freebone's own Dave Liscombe. 'Birds My Belly' offers 9 tracks of pure Sarty songwriting goodness. This album includes a re-worked version of 9 to 5 dreamers, which appeared on Tales about Toads, that features Sarah Barker on vocals.
