MY NAPPY ROOTS: A Journey through Black Hair-itage

I am here for Networking

About Me

"My Nappy Roots" is a documentary that takes an unparalleled look at how Black hair can be a prism in which to examine the cultural, social and political issues of African American people. The film forges a powerful connection between African and America, it reaveals the signigance and pride of African culture/hairstyles prior to the first arrival of enslaved Africans to America, where the the broader struggle of Black people began. The film will use the evolution of black hair to address the struggle of African American people in their search for identity and economic independence.Profile Edited by FreeFreq.com MySpace Editor
