About Me

Welcome to the NEMESIS experience. For those new to the band, NEMESIS has existed for 5 years now in the Hampton Roads are of Virginia. Formed in December of 2002, their style is a mix of aggressive hard rock riffs fused with melodic vocals, layered guitar lines and song conscious progressions. The original lineup of Lucky Riggs (guitars and lead vocals), Bruce Robinson (bass and backing vocals), Alan Smith (drums, vocals, and samples), and Allen Kimble (guitars) have forged a niche in this area developing a following of loyal fans, always putting 100% into every performance. The Lineup has undergone a few changes including the departure of Allen Kimble and Bruce Robinson (bass and vocals), and the arrival and departure of Jeff Cust (guitars and vocals) and Shane Shaw (bass).
NEMESIS current line up is the aforementioned Luck Riggs, Alan Smith, and the new additions of Shane Brown (guitars), and Red (bass and vocals). This lineup combines local, regional, and national exposure rivaled by very few bands. Their experience of playing in clubs and on tour is a combined 35 years plus of experience.
Lucky Riggs brings a style, attitude, and experience forged by such gigs as Sea of Souls, Bent, and Real by Design. The vocal melodies and aggressive guitar riffs are an important key to NEMESIS. Shane Brown most recently forged his mark in the music world with the local band Candor. He brings a comfort zone with Lucky Riggs, with whom he has played with before and a writing style that combines melodic pounding rhythms with soul foul melodies. His enthusiasm is unparalleled and an energizing force needed to make NEMESIS thrive. Red has brings a new flare and a contagious energy to the lineup. Having spent years with Lucky Riggs in Real By Design, plus other bands such as Overflow and Tri State Kill spree. Red brings the missing and final piece to the lineup. Alan Smith adds a good mix of syncopated drumming tied in with a more in the pocket feel forged from days of a progressive drumming in the band MIRROR MIRROR and the time he spent on tour with Cold Gin, a Kiss tribute band where he toured the East Coast extensively. His later influences of heavier metal hard rock bands are evident in the grooves produced in NEMESIS.
NEMESIS offers an experience, a musical journey through raw emotion, finally tuned direction, and a physically draining performance. This reputation has earned them the privilege of sharing the stage with such acts as Mudvayne, Rob Zombie, Taproot, Killswitch Engage, Chevelle, Submersed, and others at 2005 Lunatic Luau presented by FM 99. Also their hard work made them the choice to represent Hampton Roads at the Vince Neil after show Party in Sept. 2005. Their tour experience has seen them go as far north as Baltimore, MD, and as far south as Orlando to perform at the 2005 Florida Music Festival, where the were one of 200 bands chosen out of 1200 from across the U.S.A. and Canada.
A NEMESIS show is one to deliver and satisfy every need and urge by all the fans attending, the companionship and brotherhood of these four guys provide the needed touch that promotes great music and spectacular performance. HOT Free MySpace Layouts @ LayoutsVille.com
