Very happily married to Paul.....34 years as now!! Who'd have thought it....

Two Sons

See, I said it was boring

I have a dog named, Dane.
He is my best mate, he loves me to pieces and I him.
It's great having a dog, if I need time out from my men, I grab Dane's lead and off we go for a long long walk to blow off the cobwebs.
I always have my trusty MP3 player with me belting out my fav music, I can walk for miles if I have that with me.

I love Butterflies. Butterflies in the UK are becoming extinct! If you have a garden, plant a "Budlea shrub".....NOW!
I've entered this year's "Race For Life."
This is a 5 kilometer race to raise money for Cancer research, to be run on, 19/06/2009.
This is my fourth year of running this race...I must be mad!

I recently went to the cinema (an hour fifteen minutes away from where I live)to see Stephen Kijak's film, "30 Century Man." This is a film about Scott Walker, once a member of the The Walker Brothers, now a much acclaimed singer songwriter in his own right.

It was lovely to see this very talented man on screen again after all these years.

Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand,The Kooks and Four Tet are amongst the artists contributing to a collection of children's songs curated by Belle and Sebastian to raise funds for children's charity,

Colours are Brighter was released on Rough Trade on October 16th, 2006, with all profits and artist royalties from the record being donated to the charity.

Two years ago, world leaders were given a huge global mandate to make poverty history. Unprecedented public pressure led them to make some big promises – to increase aid, and cancel many poor countries’ debts. But they haven’t acted urgently enough on the action necessary to eradicate poverty. Two years on, 5,000 children die every day from drinking dirty water. More than five million people living with HIV/AIDS still do not have access to medicines. As the clock ticks, peoples’ lives are lost. So in 2007, we are telling the rich countries that the World Can’t Wait. They must deliver on their promises and take decisive action against poverty and climate catastrophe.
