In a world where nothing is certain, we all keep our heads planted firmly up our asses. Go with the flow. Don’t wonder who, why, where or how. If it’s not directly in front of you, or effecting your immediate survival, it’s just another cartoon or movie theme. Everything’s ok. Really. You need not worry that within the hundred or so years of our industrial "revolution", our mother Earth practically screams in pain and may just refuse our continued survival. But, really there’s nothing you can do to change anything. Oh yeah and hey, let’s kill all the fuckin' trees, too. I mean, their only purpose is to block the view from my fourth story condominium window. Not that those trees have any biological function or anything. Not as though they are a living thing sharing this existence. Human beings do not share. And why should we? We dominate. We are all-powerful and smarter than anything else in this God forsaken universe. So many people are in such a hurry to find their heaven that they don’t even see the hell they’re creating along the way. Why not find heaven in the only guaranteed existence you’re given (because the afterlife promised by that douchebag on TV asking for your money is strictly hypothetical). No, we must continue to baaa like sheep, develop, devour, only to later disgust ourselves. There’s a fuel shortage? No way. Not for me, only for the poor. I mean, I can totally afford to fill the tank of my absurdly extravagant Hummer every fifteen miles. Even though I don’t get anywhere any faster than that goddamned Ford Festiva that’s been next to me in rush hour for the past hour. My gas tank stays fuckin’ full...
