Iln (7" - 2009):
"Now on this new promo you can hear that Demilich is still one of their strongest influences but the Swedish fiends evolved into a more own identity. That doesn't mean that Nauseant drastically changed its style, they just modified it a bit. So if you liked the aforementioned demo you'll also like the new stuff. Nauseant plays a very special kind of finest early 90s Death Metal. I would describe it as brutal technical Death Metal with bizarre riffs, obscure song structures, very deep vocals and a dark, weird atmosphere. Absolutely nothing you'll find everyday, but it's not high-tech music suitable only for musicians' brains. Nauseant delivers brutality on a high level but straight enough to bang your head off. Definitely a band worth to check out... even if you're not such a big Demilich worshipper, this is high quality Death Metal the way it should be. Nauseant rules!!!" - Hacker, Voices from the Darkside, Germany
Abysmaltician (Demo - 2006):
"[...] innehållande harmonier som endast en heroinist med regelbundna psykoser på allvar skulle sätta ihop till en låt."
(eng: "[...] containing harmonies that only a heroin user with steady, regular psychoses would seriously intend to arrange into a song.") - Björn Larsson, Metalcentral, Sweden
"The easiest way to describe this Swedish horde would be to take the old school Nihilist’s sound, add some Unleashed thrash metal background, subtract the melodic guitar lines and you get twelve minutes of pure heavy death metal chaos. The disharmonic guitar lines are perfect and the strange guttural vocal work reminds me of our land-mates Emptiness. The production is as strong as it can be if you still listen to the above mentioned demo tapes but ruins of the impact with an almost inaudible growling. A great demo especially if you’re a fan of that old school (first hour) mid paced and down-tuned Swedish sound." - Georges, Pull the Chain Radio, Belgium
"This is quite original music that doesn't forget the morbid roots of Death metal! So few current "original" bands could be proud of this fact that Nauseant becomes even more putrid. I also found a bit of Crematory(Swe)'s first demos for some cryptic riffs, touches of old Comecon for dissonant guitars and eventually a bit of Disharmonic Orchestra for the strange approach. The production reminds me a bit the first Viogression Lp, for its cool moody atmosphere. The high-pitched guitar focus the creation of strange dissonant melodies... As well as many "experimental" kinds of music you happen to wonder what they exactly want to do with some riffs; But you might understand that later… And aren’t few ‘new’ morbid ideas welcome in your coffin? Of course this demo isn't perfect, but for a first recording it's encouraging and quite welcome. The atmosphere is here." - Gabriel Skowron, Nihilistic Holocaust Webzine, France
