Rank Outsider

A chance meeting on Oxford St brought Steve and Neil together as Neil positioned himself outside a major department store and began singing and strumming his guitar. Steve nearby dressed in a white poncho pricked up his ears as he was impressed by what he heard. Needing a collaborator for the newly forming Rank Outsider, also consisting of fellow singer/songwriter extrordinaire Caroline Jewkes, a connection was made and the three went on to develop their new and exciting sound assisted by the amazing Niall 3ply, a sound engineer from Brighton. On bass for a while was the talented Richard V who was soon to flee to the hills to live in a chapel. Excellent bass replacement was found in the form of the Captain and the line up was complete. Recordings were made and gigs were played, the first being in a barn in the Austrian countryside, strange and wonderful where music can take you isn't it ? Theres something unlikely but appealing about the Rank Outsider. If it does 'come in' the victory seems even sweeter and the rewards even more fruitful.
