I am here for Friends

About Me

Well, I am your everyday underachiever. I never quite lived up to the "potential" people thought I would, but I ended up happy. That is what counts in the end, right? I would say I am married to the man of my dreams, but he is a reality. I found an amazing lover and best friend and I get to spend the rest of my life with him. He has given me a beautiful set of twins, and a wonderful step-son. All three of them are smart (too smart for my own good). I am proud to say that not only do I love my children unconditionally, but I like them as little people too. No one can make me laugh like them. Being a stay at home mom has been one of the greatest joys (and most difficult challenges) of my life, and I consider it time well spent.

My Interests

I love reading, music, watching TV with my honey, playing with my kids, spending quiet time with the pets, plays, cheesy horror movies are my naughty pleasure

I'd like to meet:

I have found that dreaming of meeting people tends to be a disappointment in the end.

Music:

We could be here all day if you want to know about me and music. Music is the soundtrack to our lives so I listen to a little bit of everything, depending on my mood and the task before me.

Movies:

As I said before cheesy horror is a MUST...Evil Dead 2, Children of the Corn, Wishmaster, Amityville (the originals), anything that has more sequels than it should ie. Jaws, Nightmare on Elmstreet, Halloween, Friday the 13th........I could go on forever. I HATE sophmoric humor. Turn on Mike Myers or Jim Carey and you lose your right to the remote control in my house.

Television:

I am a stay at home mom so TV is something I watch way too much of. I am a HUUUUUUUGGGGGGGEEEE Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan (but I hated the movie). I like political humor, really bad reality TV (the Surreal Life gets me hooked), mysteries (especially Law and Order), and most sci-fi.

Books:

As long as it isn't romance, I'll probably read it. Love King, Rice, Benchley, Barker etc...anything that will most likely keep me so scared I can't sleep till get to the end.

Heroes:

My mom, for always staying strong, even when she doesn't feel it.My husband, for serving our country in the USMC, being the most amazing father, and for loving me good bad and indifferentMy great-grampa, for teaching me about unconditional love by showing it, there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of him and miss him. He was truly the greatest.

My Blog

Confused

Is life all about the excitement of change, or about the struggle to keep things the same? It’s something I have often had an internal debate about. So many times through life I, or one of my f...

Growing

I just need to vent.  Isn't it funny how you spend your life growing and changing as you get older, but some people have an idea of you stuck in a time loop that is someone you probably wouldn't ...
