Rainy Sunday sind zurueck! Gegruendet wurde die Band einst Anfang der 90er Jahre. Allen musik-interessierten Ruhrpottlern ist sie sicher immer noch ein Begriff. Rainy Sunday etablierte sich in den lokalen Medien einige Jahre als beliebteste Band (WAZ 1996-99) und galt als DER Geheimtipp aus NRW. Ihre erste Platte Soulfood for Breakfast erschien 1996, worauf ein erfolgreiches Jahr und viele bundesweite Live-Auftritte folgten. Als die Plattenfirma ein Jahr spaeter Konkurs anmeldete, wurde es immer ruhiger um die Band. Im Jahr 2000 loesten sich Rainy Sunday dann endgueltig auf. Jetzt, nach fast 6 Jahren, wollen die Jungs es noch mal wissen! Die Band, bestehend aus dem Bandgruender Carsten Teller (Gitarre, Gesang) und Sebastian Gibelius (Schlagzeug) und den Neubesetzungen Juergen Lohfink (Bass) und Carsten Peiffer (Gitarre), bewegt sich musikalisch zwischen Funk, Blues-Rock und Rock n Roll und ist live absolutes Pflichtprogramm. Das Come Back des Jahres! Rainy Sunday is back! The band was founded in the early 90s and surely is still on the minds of people in NRW, germany and around. Rainy Sunday established themselves as the "dark-horse" of NRW. The first album "Soulfood for Breakfast" was released in 1996, followed by a sucessful year and many live-gigs all over germany.When one year later the label filed for bankruptcy things got calm around the band and rainy sunday finally broke up in the year 2000. Now, almost 6 years later the guys want to know which side their bread is buttered on... The band, consisting of Carsten Teller (guitar, vocals), Sebastian Gibelius (drums), Juergen Lohfink (bass) and Carsten Pfeiffer (guitar), combines funk, blues-rock and rock 'n' roll influences. Their gigs are a MUST, their comeback is the "Comeback of the year" (german newspaper quote).
