It takes more than just talent to make great instrumentals. An instrumental is more than just a snare, a sample and a baseline. Its the most important part of a song. It creates a picture and provides the feeling for singers and MC's. Without an instrumental (beat) for the song, lyrics seem lifeless. This is just something that I (Mel B.) have learned in the past year making music with my fellow up and coming producers Brandon M. Mitchell, Benny Poole. I have created a sound together that is unlike any other in the music business. Producers tend to make music to support themselves or just do it and thinks it sound good, but we are trying to break it. With Benny's, Marrero background and my Downtown thing going the music that is made has potential.
