Psy Sculpture

To let a thought become reality, one must grant a part of our time to the conditions that could help shape it into a physical format. Inspiration may come from different sources but imagination has a way to conduct all into a more artistic environment. The wisdom one has could only come from maturing oneself into believing that a particular design has the right to be expressed. It was sometime in the year 2005 that a glimpse of an idea, nurtured since several years before, had the perfect scenery to appear. From it, came 'Psy Sculpture', gathering influences from different musical styles and blending thoughts and emotions into a more refined concept with a purpose to innovate its musicians abilities and music itself. The groups moniker represents the creation in our mind of what has happened or will happen according to our own desires. One could consider it to be an attempt to represent what imagination brings to the individual. Being it a group effort, a certain environment depicting harmony had to be found and although the right conditions werent perfect at the beginning, Time was always by their side. Having in its foundations Bruno Brazão (Vocals & Guitar) , Fabio Meneses (Guitar), Gonçalo Silva (Bass) and Nino Frazão Afonso (Drums), it soon was proved they were capable of overcoming almost every obstacle that Time or Space could ever build. Fabio coulnd't continue in the band for some private life issues. So Filipe Freitas came to replace him. Managing every possible moment to bond inspiration and perspiration, 'Psy Sculpture' started to develop every positive idea into something more than an embryonic state. It wasnt that much difficult keeping in mind the previous participations of several band members in other groups, although this one is considered by all of them as having a more matured team work and more relaxed. Confidence and dedication is a proof of believing in what lies ahead and, as the famous writer Aldous Huxley once said: After silence, what is nearer to express the inexpressible is Music. Once silence is broken, there isnt a moment between each note that would let us dwell in our own dimension. Whatever Music symbolizes for the listener, it will always grant him the opportunity to conjugate whatever is raised from the unknown with what himself is seeking.
