Who are you? That is such an enigma of a question. Our common reply is "I'm a [insert occupation]". Sure, I'm a 25 yo medical student, but is THAT me? I suppose it says a lot about my desires, my ambition, my intended course for my life. I certainly spend a lot of time with science and medical texts and cases. It is certainly not the end all or be all of me however.I'm also a quiet, mild-mannered, romantic. I cry at all those damn TV shows like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition; I watch with hopeful optimism at shows like Brothers and Sisters. I'm a CNN and NPR news junkie. It's like a drug for me some days. I'm a hedonist but a realist. Hope for the best, but expect the worst, that sort of thing. I'm such a chameleon, I certainly take strides to avoid standing out, despite being out. Engaged to a wonderful man who I someday hope to have lots of babies to share.Who am I? I guess, that all really depends upon your perspective. So who are you?
Nothing worth doing is completed in our lifetime,
Therefore, we are saved by hope.
Nothing true or beautiful or good makes complete sense in any immediate context of history;
Therefore, we are saved by faith.
Nothing we do, however virtuous, can be accomplished alone.
Therefore, we are saved by love.
No virtuous act is quite as virtuous from the standpoint of our friend or foe as from our own;
Therefore, we are saved by the final form of love which is forgiveness.
