filledXstream is the heart of evangelist Scotty Young from Tishomingo, Mississippi. While attending college @ Northeast Community College in the 90's, Scotty began to play rock music ultimately joining a band that played clubs and fraternity parties all over the Southeastern U.S. However, while in his hotel room on several occasions he began to experience the call of the Holy Spirit. He soon left the lifestyle of rock music to help start a church in his parents basement. By sowing his musical ability into the youth of his church, Scotty and Roger Young (Scotty's uncle) began to venture out and play youth services for the local churches. December of 2005 Way of Life Church, where Scotty was worship leader at the time, invited Pastor Anthony Hatch from New Life Church in Tupelo to hold revival services.Pastor Anthony brought with him his ministry team comprised of worship leaders Shay & Michi Guess from Mantachie, MS. The anointing that seemed to pull these two teams together was nothing short of God doing what God does best! While trying to figure out a name to identify the band - Scotty had mentioned a play on words that sounded like, Field And Stream, except using the word filled and combining the word extreme. While they were discussing the name, Shay mentioned a word he had gotten while attending an impartation service hosted by RAMP's, The Worship Band in Hamilton in February of 2005. Shay remembers by saying, "While sitting in that service I remember hearing them [The Worship Band] emphasising the importance of becoming a flow for the sounds of Heaven to manifest through our music. I wrote down on a piece of paper the word, XSTREAM - meaning, to be in the stream of Christ." Shay held that paper in his bible for ten months before meeting Scotty!!After hearing Shay's testimony, Scotty found the missing link. To the common person, it looks as if friends came together to form a worship band, but to these individuals they all know that God has been working on this for over 20 years. If you wanna know what that means, then find out where they will be and make sure you ask them - it will bless you!!!
