Latin Sol is a 10-piece band featuring a blend of Salsa and Afro Cuban rhythms. Our influences include Tito Puente, Poncho Sanchez, Tolu, Irakere, and Eddie Palmieri, to name a few. We feature full percussion, rhythm, horn, and vocal sections that combine to play with intensity and energy. Latin Sol has been performing at clubs and festivals for over three years at such venues as King King, Temple Bar, Club Ibiza, Valencias Art Festival, and Pomonas African Festival. Some of our musicians have performed at the Montruex Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the North Seas Jazz Festival in Amsterdam, the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, the Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood, and the Latin Grammies. Also, some have shared the stage with such artists as Pete Escovedo, Celia Cruz, Johnny Almendra y los Jovenes del Barrio, Dave Samuels, Ramon Banda, Louie Cruz Beltran, Johnny Blas, and Poncho Sanchez. To the members of Latin Sol, the group is not just a band but also a family of musicians collaborating to produce explosive original compositions.
