Bonnie Kaye is a classically trained violinist, composer and protege of Nathan Rubin, former concert master of the Oakland Symphony, and is currently producing and recording a new CD featuring music that combines classical, jazz, Persian, rock, and dance grooves for an eclectic sound often compared to the "Buddha Bar" or "Cafe Del Mar" series.Bonnie has performed at Cafe Del Mar and Club Amnesia in Ibiza, Spain; The Cobden Club in London, and Nikki Beach in St. Tropez, France (as well as Nikki Beach Miami and Nikki Midtown, New York). Kaye is a popular improvisation artist on the New York City nightclub scene, performing electric violin with deejays to lounge, house, hip-hop, rap and techno dance beats. Bonnie has also played with Live Rock, R & B, Jazz and Blues Bands(a lot of blues!), including The John Lee Hooker Band, Deacon Jones & The Bucket of Blues, Ike & The Coldbloods & Clarence Gatemouth Brown, all at The JJ Blues Clubs in San Jose; The Gypsy Kings at Baldo Vino, New York, and most recently performed Cirque du Soleil, Motown, & Hip-Hop selections for a crowd of 6,000 with The Bud Millman Orchestra at Radio City Music Hall, NYC. (And one surprise Sinatra selection with Regis & Kelly!).
