In 1987 Michael Insane began his love affair with turntables and music. He was in the sixth grade. Inspired by his older brother, Michael began devoting his time to the DJ craft. When Michael arrived in high school Hip-Hop was the craze but a new tune tickled his ear. He heard the banging rage of techno music and he became addicted. Since then he has progressed through many different genres, always finding his way back to the energetic grinding of techno music. ****
Flash forward to 2007, twenty years later, Michael has played Hollywood mega events like LA and San Diego Burningman Decompressions, Nexus, Arcane Oasis, Suburban Subversion, The Forbidden Series (Resident) , The Mor Bar, Bristol Sessions, etc... He's been honored to grace the decks in Hollywood clubs like Spundae and Beverly Hills joints like Blowfish as well as the crazy assortment of outdoor events both domestic and International such as Caladan 9, Fuente Eterno, Alma Paradiso, Fool's Paradise, the Roll Call series, San Diego Burn on the Beach, Xara and the LA Decom afterparty named "AFTERPARTY". The sound you'll get from him now is a funky electro breaks mix with a little housey, proggy feel. Add in a little tribal and some good old fashioned techno/ tech-house and you can see that it really is a crap shoot as to what you're going to hear. The only two consistent things about his sets are that hey are never consistantly of one genre and, its always going to want to make you shake your rump. ****
