About Me

When most people hear M-16 they think of the lethal government issued Assault Rifle But, to talented Baton Rouge producer Mitchell M-16 Conner M-16 marks a day, a day that the world shall never forget May 16th the Birth date of the legend.M-16. Growing up in one of Baton Rouges most notorious drug filled areas known to America as Scotlandville (home of Baton Rouge s own Southern University) But know to Baton Rouge as 3rd World M-16 has seen his share of violence, hustlers, high school dropouts and drug addicts. M-16 stated growing up in my hood (Kings Estate) Ive seen it all from junkies, to killers, to robbers and Ive even seen big time drug dealers turn into big time drug users. M-16 also stated that After seeing my childhood friends drop out of school and fall victim to cocaine, various diseases and jail cells, It made me want to be the one to make it out of the hood. After playing football every year from age 5 to age 18 many people thought that football would be his route out of the hood But little did they know M-16 had other talents such as rapping and his new talent producing. Inspired by his older brother Jerome Hip-City Williams M-16 wrote his first rhyme in 1995 with a few minor setbacks M-16 gave rapping a break in the 1999 grade. He then began to write a few songs a year with his nephew Jeremy Lil Jeremy Williams which is now on his label Steady Grindin Entertainment Inc. In about 2000 Jeremy and M-16 won a talent show which inspired them to stick together. Later in 2000 M-16 discovered that he and Jeremy needed beats. Jeremy introduced Mitchell to Fruity Loops M-16 began to make tracks on it then his computer crashed after getting another computer in 2004 M-16 continued to make tracks but he didnt take it seriously.
