I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Ok. It's been a while so... I am now 26 years old and I am living it up in Daly City, California. Just south of San Francisco. I can't really discuss what I do here in too much detail. Let's just say I'm a bouncer for the United States. It sounds cool and it's true. I am a propective college student. I say that because I haven't been to class in a few years. Yeah I know. Judge away... Everyone else does. I'm in the Texas Army National Guard and we just got back from Afghanistan. I have 3 years left on my contract. Lucky me. I'm into trying new stuff and I tend to make friends easy. Let's see... I can't really describe myself all that well because I tend to think that talking about yourself means you think a lot about yourself. Go figure. Anywho. Ummmm... Damn where was I? Lost my train of thought. Well anywho, anything you wanna know about me, don't be afraid to ask me. I'm pretty much an open book and brutally honest, much to the chagrin of my friends. I'm not a very outgoing person. A party here or there but for the most part if I'm gonna go out it's to a quiet sports bar or someone's house.

My Interests

They include music of all types. I dont like to hear just one type cuz then it would get boring. I like to keep variety in my life. Why does variety look spelled wrong to me? Weird. I love sports espcially football. My favorite team is the Denver Broncos. When football season comes around I'm usually glued to the TV with my dad. We're not glued together, we just both watch it. --- That's for those morons who will undoubtedly take it literally. I'm into computers. Yeah I know... No matter what I am now labled a geek. Technology is just pretty cool to me. There is so much new stuff coming out that you wouldn't believe. It boggles the mind just how dependent on technology were gonna be soon. I can't afford any of the new crap but hey it's good to know its out there.

I'd like to meet:

Some of the more beautiful movie star women of the world. Any people who love to talk but at the same time don't speak about things that no one could really care about in the first place. Interesting people with a flair for communicating and having fun. Let's see. Famous people I guess would have to be someone like the Pope or something. Those kinds of people who have thoughts that matter to the world. I'd like to have one on one talks with powerful people and figure out what makes them powerful. What do presidents, kings, and rulers think about when it comes to leading? Actually for the most part, I'm pretty nervous when it comes to meeting people. So meeting any of the people I mentioned would probably end in me saying something stupid like, "Wow! You're so cool!"

Music:

All kinds as long as it switches up here and there. i love Dave Matthews Band, but I can switch to Rap in an instant. West Coast rap is better by the way. As long as there is an awesome beat that gets you into it, I'm all for it. Great music has a way to control your emotions. It'll make you pissed or happy no matter what mood you're in.

Movies:

Funny ones are the best but I love a good drama here and there. My all time favorite movie has got to be The Usual Suspects. Great acting all around. My favorites are pretty diverse. I will like the stupidest movies sometimes. I have a weird sense of humor so movies like Anchorman will make me bust a gut. Its those movies that get you really into them that I like. When I watch a movie I don't like to watch it with a bunch of friends who are just gonna talk through the whole thing. I prefer alone or with small company.

Television:

Good sitcoms and ESPN are a must. I love The Family Guy and pretty much the entire Adult Swim lineup on Cartoon Network. That kinda humor is the best. The kind where it surprises you. Dry humor is good too. Nothing like a funny joke being made and no one realizes it except you.

Books:

A good horror book or something having to do with real life. I really need a good page turner. I can usually read pretty fast so if by the 3rd chapter I'm not hooked, I'm never gonna finish. I have been known to just pick up a book I find, start reading, and stay up all night finishing it just because I get really into it. So far like I said its been good horror books. Stories of real life situations. The more believable the better. Don't get me wrong, sci-fi is good but when it gets too odd, no. When you can actually put yourself within the story or imagine it unfolding all around you, you've got yourself a good book. With the best books I can usually make a movie to go with the words. Can you tell how bored I get?

Heroes:

My fellow soldiers. When you've seen some of the things I have, you truly appreciate what they do. Perfect strangers become your best friends and you know it kills you that they be taken from you before your very eyes. It's a life most of us have grown to love and hate. Everyone should look up to a solider I think. I'll give you an example of why. Every child, no matter what race or country they are from, will always look to a soldier in awe. They're always so interested in what you are and how they can be one too. There is almost no greater feeling than helping a foreign country protect itself and have its children stand there smiling while saluting. If you really wanna know why the wars we have must happen. Its for that reason. We can be told all kinds of reasons for going to war. Civilians can say all they want about why were there, but until you actually deal with children who give you the most beautiful smile only because you gave them some oreo's then you'll understand what being a soldier is all about.
