About Me

What's there to say? I am one of billions on this planet. Born in the Philippines, raised in sunny San Diego since I was 10 months old. I'm half-Filipina, half-African American, but consider myself ALL-AMERICAN. I'm a military brat (go NAVY)! I'm the mother of a beautiful little girl. I've been with her father for over 12 years and I love him very much. My best friend Lynn and I have known each other since I was five (let's go BINGO)!!! I'm college educated. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the local university and yes, I love being an accountant (can't touch this). My favorite food is cheesecake but I am weak against the oh-so-mighty LUMPIA. My favorite drink is a lava colada or a Dr. Pepper. My favorite sport is football and I love to snowboard.

Some old school, some new school, some rap (and yes, some of it is offensive), some R&B, some hip-hop, some alternative, some adult contemporary, some Pop. My taste are all over the place.

Movies:

I love watching Jane Austen's movies: Pride and Prejudice (both versions), Sense & Sensibility, Persuasion. I also loved Bridget Jones' Diary (loosely based off of Pride & Prejudice). Then there are also movies such as The Last King of Scotland, Office Space, Spirited Away, Pirates of the Carribean, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Hero, Indiana Jones, Napoleon Dynamite, Night at the Museum, The Goonies, Mildred Pierce, Mommy Dearest, Shakespeare In Love, Chronicles of Narnia.

Television:

Nature related shows... I like watching shows about the earth's possible worst case scenarios, okay? I find Survivorman hilarious (yeah, it's a sophisticated version of Castaway). Seriously, I could never EVER consider dating Bear Grylls (Man Vs. Wild)... gross, the guy drinks water squeezed from elephant poop and for some reason, never wants to build a fire to COOK his food!!

Books:

I have read every Jane Austen novel. I love historical novels. Last book I read is The Other Boleyn Girl, not sure what I will read next. I also enjoy books by Stephen King and Dean Koontz. But... Becker CPA Review is my new best friend, until I pass the exams!

Heroes:

My parents and people who don't cry for the government to save them from their own stupidity.
