I have this whole save the world complex, that is partially why I joined the army. So one of my main interests is bettering my own living environment, those near me and making the world a better place. I'm a philanthropist of sorts. I love to watch people, I'm a people watcher. Being a bartender, a photographer, a painter, a nomad, the new girl in school - it became a hobby of mine; it might seem creepy but we all do it - you know you do, don't lie!! I'm definitely into art. I love making collages, just random chaos with glue and tape and paint. I sketch, draw, paint - I love to write and read. I'm definitely a book worm. I have seriously gone to the library found a good book just browsing around and read the whole thing inadvertently :) The average person reads 1 book a year. I will have like 3 books going at one time. Maybe it's the Gemini? I'm into photography as well. I have an old pentax 35mm, black and white is the best color that there is. I like to take candid photos, pictures of seemingly hidden things, and for some reason broken down farm houses, farm equipment etc. I don't know why but I think it's so beautiful to find a broken barn, with vines growing all over, the sun shinning though different holes and cracks in the foundation. Maybe it's because I lived in the city for most of my life. I'm very open minded so my interests are always changing and growing.

I love music - it is definitely an important factor in my life. It sets the mood for any situation. I listen to all types of music depending on my own mood. I love the blues..... Billie Holiday is one of my favorites. I am also a big fan of Lennon Murphy! I just saw her perform a little while ago in Columbia,SC at Headliners- it was incredible! I listen to a lot of underground bands - I am also a big fan of Lamb of God, Trivium and Otep. I like some Alternative, Metal, Ska, Punk, Old School Rock and Rap as well as Hip-Hop. I'm into Hip-Hop that has meaning. It is one of the most powerful forms of music in todays world. Repetition is the basic learning process for most of us in school, work etc. Hip-Hop uses repetition, that's why you get those songs stuck in your head and your singin' 'em all day. I'm not into mainstream rap really - all the slap a ho, smoke a blunt sh*it just isn't cool. I like philosophical, Political, Humanitarian, Philanthropic rap and hip-hop. It's very powerful to me. I also like bebop, cool and hard bop, cool jazz or west coast jazz, chamber jazz, ragtime, bluegrass, gut bucket blues and slow blues. I'm always down for hearing new stuff. *Music makes the world go round*Any Day Now
My first job was at a mom and pop type movie shop in San Francisco when I was 14-15. Part of my job was actually watching movies so I could truly tell my customers about them. I love old movies, black and whites, foreign movies with subtitles, documentaries, of course scary movies and I'm always down for a good comedy or action movie. One of my favorite movies is After Hours, It's an old movie from the 90's. I definitely like psychological thrillers, anything artistic and unusual. Living in Michigan all there really is to do in the winter is watch movies and drink a beer or two. Where would we all be on those lazy days, or in the winter time with nothing to do without movies? We need them..... definitely :) I just saw Children of Men - excellent fuc*in movie. I am also a big fan of City of God, I just love documentaries and "Based on a true story" movies -
"Sunshine" by Robin McKinley; "Behold a Pale White Horse" by William Cooper, "The Celestine Prophecy" by uhhhh, the Reed guy - you know who I'm talking about! "The Bauchman Books" by Steven King (even though he was going by a different alias at the time to prove a point), "The Prophet" - crap what's his name? it's a really old book; Lane Staley sings about the book on his Mad Season Album - damnit! that's going to drive me crazy! Edgar Alan Poe's poetry, "Skylight Confessions" and "The Ice Queen by Alice Hoffman", "When Neitzche Wept" I forget the Authors name, "Pretty Dead Things" by Gerry Boyle, The Principia Discordia, The Gay Science by Friedrich Neitzche, 1984 by George Orwell.... oh I could go on forever, I am a book worm.... I LOVE BOOKS
Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King, Beth Hart, Billie Holiday, The old (well I guess the younger) Marilyn Manson, Otep Shamaya, The Single mother/father, The Average Joe, The underdog, My Garbage man, My drill sergeant from AIT at Fort Jackson (DS ALAM), The lunch lady from all 10 of the high schools I went to, All U.S. Soldiers, Ani Defranco, Tina Turner, Angelina Jolee (I'm a terrible speller, probably spelling half of these names wrong), Joan of Arc, Plato, Albert Einstein, William Cooper (Author of "Behold a Pale White Horse") and Kate Laffin - the only true friend I have ever known...
