The All New Cheap Moves

About Me

The All New Cheap Moves were formed in the summer of 2006 despite the advice of several friends and colleagues. They consist of Chris Staranka on bass/vocals (formerly of The Miasmics and Cirque Du Soleil), Henry Margenau on guitar/vocals (formerly of Anonymous Jones and the Tony Award-winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie), and Josh Frisch on drums/vocals (formerly of Zanzibar Scuf and his acclaimed one-man show A Room With A Jew).
The 'Moves have since seduced crowds and serenaded bartenders at such venues as The Knitting Factory (NYC), Arlene's Grocery (NYC), The Whiskey Bar (NJ) and various holes in various walls. The clever bastards even break out their acoustic guitars to perform free shows at several Borders Books, Music & Cafe locations in and around northern NJ, as well as shake up a few coffee houses, town fairs, and living rooms.
Most recently, their fans (and G-Rock Radio listeners) actually voted these creeps into the Top 5 of G-Rock Rising's contest to open for Toad the Wet Sprocket! Now, after finally recording their first proper demo, they're ready to spread it on until they're as big as KISS (but will settle for Lick It Up-era KISS).
Praise for The All New Cheap Moves:
"The All New Cheap Moves are not only a great band, but they are good with children and have impeccable manners. They even helped water-seal my deck." - Don Miller, neighbor
"I used to be a fan of their former bands. Those guys used to really rock it back in the day. When I heard on K-Rock that they were all disbanding to form a new supergroup I almost ran off the road!" - Jessica Fann, fan
"Oh yeah. I remember Chris Staranka from Verona High School. Jeez. I thought he would have been dead by now." - Kenneth Roebuck, former classmate
