I'm stuck in a dream and I can't get out.

About Me

I am a bar manager by night and a filmmaker by day. I like to play chess and the guitar. I write haiku, but I don't consider it poetry. I collect random quotes and thoughts in a small black journal. I don't smoke. I do drink. I'm generally a nice guy -- well mannered, a bit egotistical, but a good friend and listener. I love filmmaking -- every aspect to the entire process -- and I want to be the kind of filmmaker that makes people stop and think. I'd like to bring my own unique flavor to the art -- something like a BBQ or Spicy Mustard. What does that exactly mean? I don't know. I set this site up to showcase some of the short films I've created and as a place to network with other filmmakers, festivals and fans. You can view the Toymation films (How Superman Got His Groove Back, Poker Night, and the trailer for Hulk Smash Everybody) I made with my best-friend Mike Wytrykus over at Rabid Mongoose Productions and comment them at YouTube . I'm working on encoding the rest of the short films I have for the web, so stay tuned! I also have the tendency to sell out on a whim.

I enjoy photography, playing chess, playing guitar, Rube Goldberg devices, Kettle One vodka, the Chicago Cubs, the Detroit Red Wings, the New York Rangers, the Chicago Bears, comic books, independent film and music, bad-ass t-shirts, hats, time travel, being better than most people, and political / religious discussions. I also collect vintage pencils, like the Berol "Black Warrior" circa 1988. Do I really? Yes.

The top 10 films released in 2006 that I saw.

So this is in no way a "Top 10 Films" of 2006, but rather a random top 10 of the films released in 2006 that I saw. It wasn't a good year for me getting out to the theater. There are quite a few on my...
