The music of Tranquil Echo is unique instrumental blend of musical styles that range from contemporary / Nu-jazz to driving southern rock / blues leads laced with a hint of industrial and electronic. Piano and guitar take the lead, as drums with other electronic sounds create the ambient background. Tranquil Echo left nothing out. The live performance is accompanied by a hypnotic array of colorful lights and animated video, resulting in the “total package”, unified. The creator of Tranquil Echo, Matt Pompili, was born in Cleveland, OH in 1978 only to move to Houston, TX one year later. At age four, he began playing the piano. He played piano heavily through his early years, earning many awards for his accomplishments as a young musician. He was also highly recognized for his vocal talent at a young age. By age fifteen, Matt had taken a strong interest in playing guitar and began the road of self teaching, which has developed him into the artist you see today. The connection of his talent to play, with his ability to create new, and his natural passion made it obvious what his calling in life was. Matt worked on many projects from many genres through his early twenties. Matt was the lead vocalist, and lead guitarist for the Texas metal band Brothergrim (2000 - 2004), he was also a touring guitarist for the industrial metal band Sindaddy (2005 - 2006). Matt also ventured into the Hip Hop genera working as a session musician at The Craft studios in Houston, Texas, which is owned and operated by Big Mike of the Ghetto Boys. While working at The Craft Studios Matt added his musical touch to works form artists such as Devon the Dude, Blind Rob, and John Brown the Rebel (2006 - 2007). Matt also did a guest appearance playing guitar, piano, and doing backing vocals for DaGoldenChild’s single “It’s The End” (2006). Although Matt was heavily involved in the music scene he was never artistically satisfied. After many experiences and endless hours alone in the studio, Matt has created the perfected sound of Tranquil Echo. Matt’s passion pours through the compositions. He is “hands on” with all aspects of the creation and development of this masterpiece, Tranquil Echo. Tranquil Echo is steadily making its mark with the first full length self produced release “As it should be” (November 2008).
