Immured Soul

Whether it's digging through crates of dusty vinyls or dropping original compositions of any genre in urban music, Immured Soul is beating the odds of the industry as an aspiring producer and beat maker. Primarily known for his mainstream sound using electronic instruments, he has proven to be a definite trend setter. Immured Soul was influenced by all kinds of music as a youngster. It ranged from jazz, blues, soul, electronica, house and even heavy metal. At age 4, introduced to popular rock idols, such as AC/DC, Gunz & Roses, and Metallica, he set interest in music. It was in the early 90’s when he had his first taste of hip hop. Immured Soul recalls, "When I was in about grade 4 I got a hold of a 2 Live Crew tape, and I came home and put it in my boom box. When my mom walked in she whooped my ass, ripped out the reel and tossed out the cassette.” The desire to create music initially began when he used simple audio editing software to chop up tracks at an early age. As he learned the construction of songs and developed an ear for music, he set foot with a strong passion. After years of perfecting his skills and developing his talent he came to realize that without knowledge one could not truly succeed in the music industry. He then decided to enroll at Stylus College of Music & Sound Technology so that he could obtain his certificate as an Independent Music Producer. After his completion, he had mastered the knowledge of composing, arranging, film scoring, music theory, and also mixing and mastering. Currently, Immured Soul is signed to Azad Records on the Urban Division as a music producer and engineer, specializing in hip hop, r&b, pop, and electronica production. As a producer he wants to create a strong marketable product and more than just making and selling a beat. It is essential for him to work closely with artists to ensure the absolute potential of the music being created.
