I have been recording, mixing, producing, touring and playing in bands for more than 20 years, my recording studio / video production facility at Lake Tahoe CA. is state of the art, it is the ONLY mixing room desigened and built around a 5.1 DTS speaker placement from the ground up (with the help of John Meyer, Damon Zumbroegle and the late Don Pearson).As of this writing (9.15.07) Bigwater Studios is the only Studio in North America to use the "Real Sound Labs convolution equalization tool CONEQ" based in Riga Latvia CONEQ is the result of more than 20 years of research and development. the technology is based on Acoustic power, unlike conventional EQ and measuring techniques which measure sound at a single point, CONEQ measures the sound at hundreds of points around the speakers and applies a 4096 filter correction, rendering the speakers "ruler Flat" giving bigwater studios a tremendous advantage over all other studios, commercial or project who dont! one more advantage to being at Lake Tahoe is it allows me to persue my other passions in life, whitewater kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, climbing, wakeboarding, extreme snow kayaking and mt. biking with my wife and teaching my kids to enjoy this time in life as it does not get any better than being a kid (even a big one) in Tahoe!!!
