My Interests

Music:

Band Website: who needs one these days?
Band Members: Production by Fraser Purdie for Beaten Track

Supporting members include; Emma Jane, James, Davie Kerr, Davie Lawson, Dad and Dom
Influences: My muse would have to be Robbie Robertson of 'The Band' in Martin Scorsese's 'The Last Waltz' however I also tap the infinite resources of funk, jazz, the blues and good old fashioned songs that move you.

I've been listening to lots of different stuff recently including; Peter Gabriel, Lamb, Paul Weller, Supergrass, Queen, Roddy Frame (moan the Roddy!!!), Cream, Albert Lee, Donald Fagan, Stone the Crows, Xavier Rudd, Turin Brakes, Crosby and Nash, Fleetwood Mac, Powderfinger, Nickel Creek, The Thorns, The Blue Nile, Steve Reynolds, The Doobie Brothers, John Butler Trio, Spin Doctors, The Devine Comedy, Neil Young, John Mayer, Foo Fighters, Frank Sinatra, Tom McRae, Gerry Rafferty, Mark Knopfler, John Martyn, Faithless, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Arcade Fire, Django Rhinehart and many many more.

If it wasn't for rechargeable batteries, I'd be screwed!
Sounds Like: Well...if Johnny Cash (late 1950's) and Elvis (early 1970's) had started a folk duo with Keith Moon on percussion and Oliver Reed in a 'Bez' style capacity that might indicate my ambitions!!!
Record Label: Iain McKinnon Records
Type of Label: Indie
