I was born Charles-Louis de Secondat, the Baron de La Brède et de Montesquieu on January 18, 1689. Many call me Montesquieu, because they are either too lazy or too stupid to pronounce my whole name, but you can call me Monty. I am French political thinker and I am famous for my articulation of the theory of separation of powers, though it is taken for granted in modern discussions of government and implemented in many constitutions all over the world. I am the person who is largely responsible for the popularization of the terms "feudalism" and "Byzantine Empire."I moved to Louisiana after the French proved to be wholly ignoble in their surrendering of the homeland to the barbaric German invaders on two separate occasions.
My Interests
I'd like to meet:
I'd like to meet those who haven't read my works and force them to read until their eyes bleed.
